The problem

Chasing invoices is the worst part of running your business.

You don't want to nag good customers. You don't have time to track who's 45 days late. So the money sits there — and you become the bank. Most late payments aren't refusals; they're forgetfulness waiting for a polite, persistent ask.

How it works

Hire it in five minutes. It never forgets to follow up.

01

Connect QuickBooks

Recoup syncs your invoices and finds everything overdue — instantly, read-safe, nothing changes in your books.

02

Pick your tone

Friendly, professional, or firm. Every message is written fresh, sounds like you, and comes from your email address with a pay-now link.

03

Watch the money come in

Reminders, follow-ups, replies, payment plans — handled. You get a note when there's money in or a decision only you can make.

Your customer relationships are the whole business. We treat them that way.

  • You approve every message. Once the agent has matched your voice ten times running across a few different customers, Recoup offers to handle the routine ones — and you decide whether to let it.
  • Every send is re-checked at the moment of sending. If a customer paid an hour ago, the reminder never leaves.
  • No threats, ever. No messages after hours. Pause any customer with one tap.
  • Every action logged — a full audit trail you can read anytime.
Agent activity — example
Payment $3,150 received — Sonoran Property Mgmt. Sequence stopped, thank-you queued.
Reply understood: "half by Friday, rest end of month" — promise recorded, reminders paused.
Send stopped: Verde Valley paid before dispatch. Reminder voided automatically.
Voice learned: "opens with first name, never uses exclamation points."

Questions

Fair questions, straight answers.

Will this annoy my customers?

Recoup sends the same polite reminders you would — from your email address, on a schedule you control, never after hours. Most late payments are forgetfulness; a friendly nudge with a pay link is a service, not a nuisance.

What if a customer replies?

Recoup reads it. Questions get answered, promises get tracked, payments get acknowledged. Anything sensitive — a dispute, a hardship, real frustration — comes straight to you with a suggested reply you can send in one tap.

What if they already paid?

Every message is re-checked against your books at the moment of sending. If a payment landed — even a check you deposited an hour ago — the reminder is automatically stopped. If a customer says "I already paid," Recoup verifies first and never argues.

Do I have to change how I invoice?

No. Keep using QuickBooks exactly as you do. Recoup reads your invoices and follows up on the ones that are late — it never changes anything in your books, so your accountant sees exactly what they always have.

How do customers pay?

Every message includes a secure payment link — bank transfer (lowest cost) or card. Money goes straight to your account.

Can I turn it off for certain customers?

Instantly — per customer or entirely. And you can tell Recoup things like "go easy on Hank, he's a friend." It remembers.
